Size: 8.5 cm / 3.34 Inch (cotton heart)

 

Yarn used: #3 Ricorumi DK 100% Cotton (25 g/0.88 oz) | (57.5 m/62.8 yds)

  • Light Pink

Materials: 

  • 2.25mm crochet hook
  • Stitch marker (optional)
  • Darning needle
  • Polyester filling
  • A pair of scissors

Abbrevations: 

  • Mr – Magic ring
  • Ch – Chain
  • St – Stitch
  • Sc – Single crochet
  • Inc – Increase
  • Dec – Decrease (I use invisible decrease in my work, look at description 
  • Sl st – Slip stitch
  • […] – All stitches inside these brackets goes into the same stitch.
  • (…) – Repeat the instruction inside these brackets the given number of times.
  • (…) – Total number of stitches on the end of the round.

Pattern notes:

  • Yarn used for this pattern can be bought over at www.hometownstitch.com
  • Please make sure to read through the pattern first before you start.
  • This pattern is worked in rounds if nothing else is said.
  • This pattern is worked with yarn under sc – Insert your hook under the top two loops, yarn under, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through both loops. This creates an “x” stitch.
  • I use invisible decrease in my work.
  1. Insert your hook in the FLO of the next 2 stitches.
  2. Yarn over and pull through 2 of the 3 loops on your hook.
  3. Yarn over and pull through both loops on your hook.

 

Part 1:

With light pink yarn.

Round 1: 6 sc in mr (6)
Round 2: (inc) x6 (12)
Round 3: (1 sc, inc) x6 (18)
Round 4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x5, 1 sc (24)
Round 5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
Rounds 6-8: 30 sc (3 rounds) (30)
Cut the yarn and leave a tail for sewing later.
Part 2: 
With light pink yarn.
Round 1: 6 sc in mr (6)
Round 2: (inc) x6 (12)
Round 3: (1 sc, inc) x6 (18)
Round 4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x5, 1 sc (24)
Round 5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
Rounds 6-8: 30 sc (3 rounds) (30)
Place part 1 side by side part 2, sc 3 through both sides.
Round 9: Sc around the heart, the 3 sc in between part 1 and part 2 does not count (54)
Rounds 10-11: 54 sc (2 rounds) (54)
With the tail left from part 1, sew together any holes there might be after connecting the parts.
Round 12: (7 sc, dec) x6 (48)
Round 13: 48 sc (48)
Round 14: (6 sc, dec) x6 (42)
Round 15: 42 sc (42)
Round 16: (5 sc, dec) x6 (36)
Round 17: 36 sc (36)
Round 18: (4 sc, dec) x6 (30)
Round 19: 30 sc (30)

Cut the yarn, close the hole using the flo, fasten off.
